National Forum on youth policies in partnership of BARGAD in Islamabad

Participants shared their objectives with students, faculty members from different educational institutes and media persons. Government officials from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, AJK and FATA discussed their respective youth policies and the progress in this regard in each province. It was an engaging session for the students as they were encouraged to participate and give their suggestions on improving youth policies at Provincial Level.

International Youth Day conference on youth civic engagement at PIPS

The two day conference engaged over 270 parliamentarians, diplomats, academicians, representatives of federal and provincial governments and youth. National Assembly Speaker Honourable Sardar, Ayaz Sadiq, who inaugurated the conference, appreciated the youth for being progressive and talented. He encouraged their participation in civic activities for the social uplift of the nation.

Interaction with a group of children from the organisation "Seeds of Peace"

The audience of Curtain raiser was held with of children of Seeds of Peace, an organisation which is working on the promotion of peace among youth. The curtain raiser was followed by an informal session between YPF members and children of ‘’Seeds of Peace’’.

YPF meeting to discuss ways to conduct conference on "Youth Civic Engagement" on 12th August 2015

A pre event meeting was held at committee room no 07, National Assembly which was attended by members from all parties. General Secretary YPF, Shaza Fatima Khawaja  apprised the participant about the event.  Hon'ble Romina Khurshid Alam, Media Coordinator YPF, briefed the panelist about their potential role in the event.

 There were lengthy deliberations on the agenda, the speakers, panelists and participants. After detailed discussions from both the sides, a mutual agenda was achieved.

The partnership between YPF and UNDP Pakistan materialised by signing a MoU.  The MoU underlined the mechanism for the release of fund. The MoU was signed by Late Mr Mahmood Saleem Mehmood , Executive Director PIPS, representing the YPF. The signing of the MoU  is a milestone for YPF for development and progress of youth in Pakistan.

Meeting with UNDP team at Serena Business Complex

A meeting between YPF and UNDP representative was  held  at Serena Business Complex. It was attended by Uzair Ahmed Khan, Shaza Fatima, and Romina K Alam from YPF while Marc Andre', Marvi Sarmad and Sonia Attaullah  represented the UNDP.  Ms. Shaza Fatima proposed that UNDP Pakistan should step forward to celebrate the achievements of youth.  Mark Andre praised the idea and agreed to be part of the initiative.

Interactive Session with Alif Ailan on "Budget" at PIPS

A post budget session was held in collaboration with Alif Ailan for the sensitization of Young members. Leading Pakistani columnist, diplomat and government advisor Musharraf Zaidi was the guest speaker at the event. He requested the members to push for greater share of educational budget.

Honourable Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja MNA and General Secretary YPF, welcomed the committee members and briefed them about the work and purpose of the YPF. Ms. Khawaja said that the YPF was proud to honor a standing committee of the Youth Parliament Pakistan for its outstanding performance in terms of preparing a report on a key issue and submitting reform proposals to the Government. In an interactive session, ground realities relating to the implementation of reforms in the education sector and specifically for madrassas were discussed.

Young Parliamentarians Forum signs an MOU with SAAPS

Young Parliamentarians Forum signs an MOU with SAAPS (South Asian Academy of Physicians and Surgeons) to campaign for raising awareness and sensitizing the masses on the issues related to health not just in Pakistan but in South Asia at large. As per the MOU YPF shall be joining hands with SAAPS to bid farewell to Khralzada Kasrat Rai, an accomplished international walker who will be undertaking an international walk all across South Asia to raise awareness on issues related to health.
